Are you an abundant thinker? Are your thoughts more focused on wealth or scarcity? Do you worry about money or focus on how to manifest everything you have ever dreamed of? For the majority of people, their focus is on lack, worry and scarcity. It usually takes years of personal development to create an abundance mindset. Spending three (very long) days at The Art of Abundant Thinking with Tony & Tammy Daum of EP Coaching will help you on your journey from scarcity to abundance, no matter where you are starting.

Gratitude Tip: Gratitude is the foundation of abundant thinking. When we are grounded in gratitude, our focus is on all that we have, not what we lack. Building a solid daily gratitude habit can help to shift from a lack mindset to an abundance mindset more quickly.

With over 30 hours of instruction and experiential learning, this is an intense program, meant to break you of your ‘stinking thinking’ and then replace it with abundance thinking. It’s one of the best programs I have ever attended (and I’ve attended a lot of personal development seminars over the past decade). I will be sharing what I learned in many blog posts to come.

When I began my journey in USANA and network marketing over 10 years ago, I was living with stinking thinking – because the reality is that most of are and we don’t even know it. I certainly didn’t! I had many different programs running in my head that were based in lack or scarcity, such as

  • I can’t afford it
  • I don’t have enough
  • It’s never enough
  • That’s too expensive
  • How did she afford that?
  • How come they have more than me?
  • I don’t have the time
  • I’m not enough

I know what it feels like to not know whether or not you’ll have enough to pay your bills. For years, my husband and I would have to ‘wait til the next paycheck’ in order to be able to afford to pay for clothing, shoes or sometimes simple household items because our finances were so tight. I remember a moment when I went to sign up my daughter for a gymnastic programs and wasn’t able to enroll her because they didn’t offer a payment plan and there wasn’t enough room on my card. I can still remember that day and the emotions I felt when I had to say no to her. Thankfully, she was only three years old and won’t remember that day.

It’s taken me close to a decade to be able to confidently say that I am an abundant thinker. Replace old programs is not easy but it’s necessary. One of my favorite strategies to use is the process of affirmations. There’s a chapter on affirmations in my book, 30 Days of Gratitude, but you don’t need to read the book in order to benefit from affirmations. Affirmations are simply when you speak to yourself in a positive way, using I am statements. These I am statements can represent positive things that you already like about yourself, or things that you desire to be:

  • I am strong, confident woman (man)
  • I am fit and healthy
  • I am kind, loving and generous
  • I am humble
  • I am authentic and truthful
  • I am a multi-millionaire
  • I am abundance and money flows to me from expected and unexpected sources
  • I am a child of God and I live my life as Jesus instructed
  • I am whole, completely healthy and physically fit.
  • I am completely healed and in the best health of my life!

One of my favorite places to look for affirmations is Louise Hay. She is the author of You Can Heal Your Life and she shares the incredible power of affirmations on her website. If you’re not sure where to start, there are hundreds of ideas on her site.

Where do you see yourself right now? Are you looking at life from an abundance perspective or are you focused on lack? How about your daily gratitude practice? Is it serving you? Are you open to adding daily affirmations in the mirror at least twice a day? Are you ready to become an Abundant Thinker?

abundant thinkerI’ll be speaking this Saturday Oct 8th at the Lifestyle & Leadership Masterclass in Toronto at the Westin Harbour Castle, on Gratitude & Leadership.
