It’s Sept 11. Hard to believe that it’s been 15 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. I’m sure you all remember where you were when you heard the news and what you did in the days that followed. In honour of those who lost their lives on that day, and in the war on terror that has raged ever since, today’s post will be filled with blessings and inspiration. May we continue to honour those whose lives were taken when they were trying to save others.

Gratitude Tip: Thank you for this gift of another day, for it is truly gift that we have been given today. We are blessed with another day to make a difference in the lives of others and we have the opportunity to live our best day ever, right now, today. Your smile, your kind words and your positive energy could make a life-changing difference for a friend or a stranger.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend our first Lifestyle & Leadership Masterclass event this fall. You may recall that we started these events one year ago, as our local Game Changers International leadership team came together to create high-quality events that would inspire others to live their best lives and make a difference. Michael Callelas was our keynote speaker yesterday, he spoke at our event in January of this year and we were so grateful that he was back in town again (he’s from California) for TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival). Even though he was in town for the festival, he chose to spend a large part of his day sharing his wisdom, knowledge and passion for living your BEST life. Michael has been partnered with USANA for a decade (he started 2 weeks before I did) and four years, was included in the Million Dollar Club, which means he had earned more than $1M in commissions in USANA already after only 6 years). He continues to build and grow his global business, while travelling around the world and living out his dream of visiting all 197 countries in the world (he visited 59 last year alone!).

jim rohn, sense of urgencyThere were a lot of great nuggets of wisdom shared yesterday, as Michael spoke for close to two hours. There were are few things he shared that had a big impact on our audience. As Jim Rohn said, ‘Without a sense of urgency, desire loses its value.’ Michael encouraged us to find that sense of urgency in our lives and in our business. I have been feeling that sense of urgency again in my own business with the introduction of the new CellSentials from USANA. The products have made such a positive impact in my own life (and for my clients) that I literally want to share these products with everyone I know. What is it that gives you a sense of urgency in your business or life? We often see this when a woman is pregnant, suddenly her priorities change and building a freedom business becomes that much more important before baby arrives because she doesn’t want to have to go back to work.

One of the other really powerful things he shared was, ‘I’d rather live with rejection, than regret.’ One of the reasons that many people aren’t reaching their potential or seeing the success they would like to see in their lives is due to the fear of rejection. Having been in business for over a decade, there are few times when rejection actually hurt. Most of the times, I have been able to let go of the outcome and simply focus on the process, which is to education and inform others about what we do, how we serve and how we can make a difference for them and their families. Someone else’s reaction to that information is out of my control. Whether or not someone is open-minded enough to listen or watch a video, is out of my control. Rejection is all about how I choose to react when someone says no, or not right now. It’s completely in my control and we tend to forget that. It’s worth taking the chance to be rejected because there is nothing worse than regret. Michael chooses to live his life with no regrets. Would you be able to say the same? Would you like that to change? Take Jim Rohn’s advice again, ‘You’ve got to learn to discipline your disappointments.’ The sooner you let go of the fear of rejection, the faster your business and your success will grow.

As I mentioned in the last post, I have been reading Thank & Grow Rich by Pam Grout. It’s really a wonderful book and there are some really great gratitude lessons and ‘party games’ as she calls them. I have woken up for the past three mornings in a row saying ‘something amazingly awesome is going to happen today!’ and it keeps happening! Worth making your own post-it note for beside the bed if you ask me! Wake up every day reminded of your blessings and inspiration for your best day ever!
