It’s the end of my 2nd full day of the 28 Day Total Body Detox and I’m feeling pretty great actually. I tried a few different things today and most were fairly successful. First, I was struggling with how to take my USANA Probiotic first thing in the morning with a glass of water. It didn’t taste very good. This morning I put the Probiotic in about 2 oz of water and drank it like a shot – that worked perfectly! And then I enjoyed a glass of water. I was still wondering about the lemon part – why do I need to add the lemon?  Here’s what I found out from the Dr. Oz website:

When we add organic lemons into our diet,  we get a better working digestive system, a healthier immune system and better-looking skin. We enable the body to remove bad cholesterol, and we create a supportive environment for good bacteria; all of this means the body works more efficiently and effectively –Ashley Koff RD

I made a quick trip to the grocery store (well, not so quick as I had my daughter with me) and stocked up on a few more organic goodies. I’ve got organic lemons for my water, organic kale to make kale chips – more on that tomorrow and organic beans for chili and bean salad (yes, the musical fruit!). I also bought the President’s Choice Organics Power Blend – frozen dark, sweet cherries, blackberries and blueberries. OMG – this was a delicious addition to my shake this morning.

Finally, I needed a snack tonight as I had a very early dinner. I tried some rice crackers (baked, not fried) with organic natural peanut butter. YUMMY!!
