First day of the long weekend here in Canada. It’s called May 2-4 – yes, two – four. Here in Ontario, a 2-4 is a case of beer (24). Let’s just say that many Ontarians will imbibe this weekend. Makes it a challenge for someone finishing a detox. We did cheat last night with a bit of bubbly – seems like there are always things to celebrate around here! It was the first year anniversary of being in our own home. Also, many of my business associates achieved BIG goals yesterday!!

Today I wanted to have a filling afternoon snack, this shake is a bit more than 200 calories (if that is something you are concerned about) but it would be great for breakfast, after school snack or before (even after) a workout. smoothie

Simple to put together:

  • 1 cup Silk almond milk (forgot it in the photo) as this brand doesn’t contain carageen.
  • 4 ice cubes
  • half of a frozen banana
  • 2 scoops of French Vanilla Nutrimeal
  • 1 tbsp of cocoa camino (organic, fair-trade)
  • 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract

Put all ingredients in a blender (in that order) and blend! Pour into a glass and enjoy! Great if you need an afternoon pick me up or have a sugar craving. Love the taste of the pure cocoa powder.

Have a a great long weekend to my fellow Canadians! I will report back on Monday – with the final day of the 28 Day Total Body Detox. Coming up next week – client testimonials!

P.S. Have you joined the Virtual Book Launch event for 30 Days of Gratitude? My goals is to get this book into the hands of at least 1,000 people on Friday May 31st. Click here for more info and a free preview!
