Get Rid of Sugar Cravings with a Spring Detox

by | Mar 21, 2017 | Healthy Lifestyle

Over the past five years, the most popular and successful Grateful Wellness program has been the 30 Day Whole Body Detox. I am so excited to announce that the 6th edition of the program is now LIVE and our first group started on Monday April 3rd. For those who read my blog on a regular basis you know that I have struggled with a sugar addiction for most of my life. Doing this program once a year helps me to stay on track and get rid of sugar cravings, as well as release a few extra pounds that may have crept up over the holiday season.

Many of you have already committed to joining me this year and I’m excited for our first group start. If April 3rd isn’t the best date for you, not to worry, we’ve got groups starting every week til after Victoria Day. I encourage you to visit the full program site, www.30daywholebodydetox.com for all of the program details, including our incredible turn-key coach’s program for USANA Associates, which has been completely updated for 2017.

What is the 30 Day Whole Body Detox? It’s a healthy, whole food detox program that nourishes your body at the cellular level.

This program is about you: paying attention to what you are putting into your body every day, for 30 days and how you treat yourself. You choose how closely you follow the plan, but keep in mind that the more closely you follow it, the more successful you will be.

First, Do You Need to Detox?

Ask yourself, how do I feel right now? Am I experiencing:

  • Bloating or constipation
  • A lack of energy, feeling tired or drained
  • Dry skin and lack luster hair
  • Brain fog or cloudy head
  • Discomfort after meals
  • An inability to release those last few pounds
  • A lack of motivation

Next, What Are The Benefits of this Detox?

  • Better sleep
  • Shed extra pounds
  • Boost your energy
  • Clearer, radiant skin
  • Happier cells
  • Reduced inflammation
  • Smoother digestion
  • Increased mental clarity

Finally, What Does the Detox Look Like?

Things to avoid during the detox: alcohol, refined sugar, artificial sweeteners, colours and flavours, caffeine, dairy products and wheat & gluten foods.

Things to limit: soy, spicy foods, corn, red meat, gluten-free packaged products and dark chocolate.

Things to include: Fresh fruit and veggies, lean white meat and fish, nuts and seeds, and gluten-free whole grains. Find a great water bottle and keep it filled with distilled, reverse osmosis or alkaline water at all times. Add a slice of lemon for flavour.

Move every day! Try yoga or Tai Chi this month to help detoxify your mind; it always helps to slow down for an hour. Walk outside daily; even 10 minutes can make a difference

Ready to join us? You can order directly from the 30 Day Whole Body Detox site, or connect with me personally to sign up. If you are already a USANA customer or associate, you can save an additional 10% on your program by setting up an auto order for the week before you’re planning to start.
