Giving Thanks

What an amazing weekend for family time! We have been blessed with beautiful fall weather here in Southern Ontario and it’s a stunning view every where you turn. Yesterday we went apple picking and to the pumpkin patch with a friend who had never done either before. I love finding joy in the simple things in life.

Gratitude Tip: Take advantage of this weekend of gratitude and grace, and create memories with the ones you love. Turn off the screens (my own commitment for the next 24 hours) and spend time in nature. Enjoy the gifts from the natural world and slow down for a few hours.

Looking for an activity to do? Why not send out some Thank-You cards? Who in your life can you express gratitude towards? Or even more important, who do you have to forgive or ask for forgiveness from? Sometimes writing down the message of forgiveness allows you to forgive even if you never give the person the letter.

Perhaps you’re heading out to a family gathering this afternoon, and even if your family doesn’t always get along, express gratitude for the simple fact that you are together. For those who are grieving this weekend, I send you love and light as you say good-bye to the ones you love.
