happy-canada-dayHappy Canada Day to all of my fellow Canadians, here in Canada and abroad. We are united today to celebrate Canada’S 149th anniversary. What will you be doing to celebrate today?

Gratitude Tip: What a gift it is to live here in a Canada, one of the most peaceful countries in the world and also one of the most accepting of diversity. We are blessed to have such a multi-cultural population and that we accept all human beings, regardless of gender, sexual orientation or race. I am very proud to be a Canadian and very grateful to be living here in Canada.

Today our family will be attending the Strawberry Festival at the Joseph Brant Museum here in Burlington, just on Lakeshore. It’s a new family tradition, inspired by our friends who have a very long standing tradition to attend the festival yearly. And we have the opportunity to listen to the world famous Teen Tour Band!

As mentioned, I will be taking a social media hiatus and 3 days off work. This post was written on Thursday for you, my email subscribers. However, there won’t be a post on Saturday or Sunday, as the plan is to keep my laptop off. I want to enjoy my weekend and be present for my family. I encourage you to do the same. Play safe everyone and I’ll be back on Monday¬†July 4th – less than 10 days from completing a FULL year of blogging daily!!!
