On this day of Remembrance, who are you remembering? What are you most grateful for? Here is Canada we are truly blessed to live in a country without civil war and without major any military deployments in our lifetime. We know nothing of war on the home front and most of our parents don’t either. We live in the most peaceful time in history and for that, we can all give thanks today.

Gratitude Tip: Thank you to all of the men and women who have served for our country and for other countries in order to give us our freedom and peace in our homeland. Thank you to those who gave their lives for the safety of others, for their country and for all of humankind. Thank you to the families of those who perished, those who lived on and kept their memories alive. Thank you to those who came home with injuries and pain and PTSD and who live every day with a constant reminder of what was lost. Thank you to the fallen, we will never forget you.

Make time today to remember and give thanks. Even if you’re not attending an official ceremony or watching it online (you can stream the ceremony in Ottawa on CTVnews.ca), stop for a few moments at 11:00 am to give thanks. We have so much to be grateful for every single day. Today we thank those who gave us our freedom and peace.
