Time For A Social Media Detox

For many of you, this is the start of the long weekend. And I have a feeling that my posts over the next few days will not get that many views – and that’s GREAT!!

Gratitude Tip: Take at least 24 hours off this weekend. Shut down your phone or at the very least uninstall your apps (or simply remove them from the home screen). Make time to focus on what’s right in front of you and be present in every moment. We have been given the gift of another day, make it count.

 

We live in such a connected world, and I’m grateful for that. I love being able to stay in touch with people that I otherwise would not be able to. And it’s also invaluable for business. On the other hand, sometimes we miss what’s happening right in front of us because we are looking at our screens. I shared what happened when I forgot my phone a few months ago and went to my daughter’s soccer practice.

Make a commitment to your family and friends and unplug for the weekend. It’s the best gift you can give them. I’ll be doing the same from Sunday (after my blog) til Monday (when it’s time to blog). Give your mind and eyes a break with a social media detox!
