Who Inspires You-Pause for a moment and think about who inspires you in your life. It could be a public figure, alive or gone. Or maybe it’s a business mentor or someone who’s achieved success in your profession. Perhaps it’s someone in your family or extended family who inspires you. Who are the three people who inspire you most?

Gratitude Tip: We all have our own journey to follow while we’re here on earth. Instead of comparing our journey to others, why not look to them for inspiration? Are you surrounded by people who inspire you? Who is influencing your decisions and direction in life? Today I’ll share with you three of the most inspiring people in my life. There are hundreds of people who inspire me daily, and it was tough to choose just three. I encourage you to do the same today and reach out to let them know they have inspired you and show your gratitude.

jim rohn, julie boyer, daily gratitude, live daily gratitudeFirst, a public figure: Jim Rohn was an amazing man, just a farm boy from Idaho, he lead millions of people around the global to live an inspired life.  When he passed back in 2009, there was an outpouring heard around the world, from people whose lives had been touched by Rohn.  I was introduced to his work at the beginning of my career, and I find that I am still learning through his legacy on a weekly basis. Why does he inspire me? His down-to-earth, tell it like it is style is easy to relate to. His most famous saying are so simple, yet so true – here are a few examples:

Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.

Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.

If you don’t like how things are, change it! You’re not a tree.

Success is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.

Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.

I love his simple philosophies that are also life-changing.  Much of his work was also recorded and can now be seen on YouTube.  I highly suggest taking a closer look and grabbing a little inspiration for yourself. My favorite program Jim Rohn program is Challenge to Succeed.

Second, someone who has inspired me in business: Leanne Jacobs, author of the upcoming book, Beautiful Money, a top 100 earner globally in USANA, and above and beyond all of that, she is one of my best friends. I’ve known Leanne for over 16 years and she was the one who introduced me to Jim Rohn’s work. Leanne and I had always wanted to work together in business, and we have had the opportunity over the past decade. How many people in your life set 5 year goals, and accomplish them right on schedule? That’s what she did when she first became a Diamond Director in USANA. She has since set and achieved many life goals, including marrying the love of her life and having three beautiful children in three year!s! She inspires not only me, but millions around the world to reach for their goals, no matter how big or how small. And most of all, I find her faith in herself, her team and her dreams so completely unshakable that I am certain she will continue to achieve and accomplish everything on her Dream Board. Have you subscribed to the Beautiful Money Podcast yet? A great dose of inspiration from Leanne and people that also inspire her.

Louise et Julie Finally, from my family: My mom one of the most inspiring people in my life. I never realized how much I admire her and have learned from her until I became a mom myself.  Being a mom is a tough job! Seems as though my sister and I turned out pretty well, so I’m thinking she might have had something to do with it.  My mom is an identical twin, from a family of 6. I have a feeling my grandmother, her mom, was probably inspiring to her as well, since she basically had to raise those 6 kids on her own since my grandfather was a pilot on the St. Lawrence River in Quebec.  My mom showed both my sister and I that she could have a career, yet still be there for us. Shortly after my sister was born, she quit her job in Toronto and started her own translation business from our home in Oakville. This business not only allowed her to make a good income, but she was there when we came home from school, often had a hot lunch ready for us if we wanted to come home in the middle of the day, attended all of our events and stayed home with us when we were sick. I love that my mom was always there for us, up in her office, working hard but still nearby. And as we grew, she took on a second career (still continuing with the first one) as a wine writer and tour guide. She never stops learning and is always looking for ways to grow.  And being a mom now, I am inspired by her more and more.

I challenge you to think of three people in your life that inspire you. And if it’s someone who you know personally (or maybe not even personally) take the time to let them know that you’ve been inspired by them.  I invite you to share with us the people who’ve inspired you the most.

There’s still time to join us for the 40 Days of Prayer Challenge. We are starting on Mon June 13th and we will be connecting live this weekend via Zoom meeting. I’ve never done this before and I’m feeling very blessed that we already have a small group of women who are committed to doing this together.
