There Are No New Antiques
This nugget of wisdom comes from the late Jim Rohn, one of my favorite mentors. I’ve been listening to the live stream of the Go Pro Recruiting Mastery event taking place in Las Vegas this week. I always recommend attending an event live but in this case, I made the choice to skip the trip and invest in the live stream instead. And I’ve been listening to as much of the event as possible. Here’s what I’ve realized so far.
Gratitude Tip: There are no ‘secrets to success’. The formula for success shared by those who have achieved high levels of success remains very much the same. Have a vision for your life. Master the inner game. And take action to make it happen.
‘There are no new antiques’ comes from a program called The Challenge to Succeed by Rohn. The secrets to a prosperous and successful life haven’t changed since ancient times. It’s our programming and our societal norms that have made it so that we think that success is elusive and something that’s for other people. And it’s simply not true. ‘You have greatness inside of you’ to quote Susan Sly (and we heard this before from Andre Gordon a few weeks ago). YOU – yes YOU!!!
Repeat after me:
- I am worthy!
- I am capable!
- I am deserving!
You deserve to live your BEST life. Starting TODAY. Don’t wait until everything is just right – simple take action and as long as you are moving in the right direction, you’ll figure it all out. I’m here for you. Let’s do this together. Life is TOO short to waste one single day. As we celebrate the life of a friend from my elementary and high school days who passed far too young (40 years old) tonight, please take a moment to be grateful for another day here on Earth to be AMAZING.
I am so grateful to all of you who take the time to read what I have to share. It’s an honour and a privilege to be a part of your life, even though I may not know you or even know that you’re reading. It’s been over 90 days since I have been blogging daily for The Gratitude Project and I am just getting started. THANK YOU. xoxo
