This Post Was Going To Be About Star Wars…
But it’s not. Yesterday was truly an EPIC day, which included a 5:45 pm viewing of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In the spirit of how awesome the movie is, I’ll be saying absolutely nothing about it in this post. I’m giving everyone til after Christmas to have seen it – then I’ll start talking about it. For those that are surprised by this, I have been a Star Wars fan since I was a child (I can recite Star Wars: A New Hope off by heart), and I bought tickets for this show two months in advance.
Gratitude Tip: Embracing your inner child can be a lot of fun! Many of us grew up as fans of the Star Wars original Trilogy and have waited a long time for this. Going to see a movie like this is a great exercise is presence and gratitude. Even if you’re not a fan of Star Wars and haven’t seen the other films, this one is worth seeing at the theater.
As we get closer and closer to the holiday and Christmas celebrations, it’s a wonderful time to spend with friends. We connected with several friends today, spent some time with Pat & Ian and visited Lindsay & Mike for their Christmas open house and met some new friends there as well. Star Wars was our date night at the VIP cinemas here in Oakville. The seats were recently updated and I highly recommend this as you can choose your seats ahead of time. The only catch is it’s 19+ as they serve alcohol. We didn’t take our daughter and aren’t sure that we will after seeing it. We rounded out the evening at Barra Fion Tapas & Barrel in Burlington with Jason & Martine and to top off the most amazing day, Ric Jacobs was playing live music there!
I hope you’re all having a lot of fun this weekend and that the Christmas shopping is done and you’re able to enjoy some of these very special moments with family and friends!
