Raise your hand if you find yourself thinking or saying these phrases several times a day:
- I’m so busy
- My plate is already full
- There aren’t enough hours in the day
- I don’t have enough time
- I feel overwhelmed
Keep your hand raised (even if your arm is tired!) if you also say these:
- I don’t have the money
- It’s too expensive
- I can’t afford it
- I’m so broke
- I feel like we can never catch up
Ok, you can put your hand down now!! If you’re suffering from a sore arm right now, you are caught in the Time Money Paradox. And it’s likely that you don’t see a way out anytime soon, would you agree? This is the paradox that most adults today are living with. Every year, the debt load only seems to get larger (the average Canadian is $40K in the red, not including mortgages) and time just keeps flying by even faster and faster because we’re so darn busy all of the time. Do you know anyone who isn’t busy? I’d like to meet the person who hasn’t filled all of the hours of their day already.
So – the big question is, are you happy with this paradox or not? If not, are you willing to do something about it? The reality is, if you choose not to change anything, then the lack of money and time only gets worse over time, not better. What if there was a way that you could create more time for yourself and your family to do the things that you love and that bring you joy? What if there was a way to create wealth instead of debt?
