40 days of prayer

June 2017: One year ago, I committed to 40 Days of Prayer with a dozen other women. What started out as a 40 day commitment turned into a full year of getting up and starting my day with prayer. Many of you have asked to join our challenge, so we will be starting another 40 Day Prayer challenge on Wednesday June 7th. If you’d like to join us, simply ask to be added to our Facebook group and purchase of copy of Draw the Circle: The 40 Day Prayer Challenge (Kindle is fine).

June 2016: I met a new friend at networking last week, Deborah, and she shared with me a book that had really impacted her life. It’s called Draw The Circle: The 40 Day Prayer Challenge, by Mark Batterson. I purchased the Kindle version last night since the physical book version would take 3-4 weeks to ship from Amazon.ca. As I read the introduction last night, one thing was very clear – this is not something that I should do by myself. It’s important to have a small group to do this with.

Gratitude Tip: Community and prayer work well together. Our prayers multiply when with pray with others and create amazing energy and results in our lives. I have never done a prayer challenge before and I’d love for you to join me.

I’ll be starting on Monday June 13th for the next 40 days straight. It’s true that most prayer challenges happen during Lent or at the beginning of the year. I feel the need to connect with God through prayer and community right now, so I’ve decided to take action. I’ve created a Facebook Group for us to stay connected. All I ask is that if you join me that you purchase the book and commit to the 40 days of prayer. Simply request to join the group and I’ll add you.

All are welcome. Whether you are a Christian or not, prayer is for everyone. And perhaps this experience will help you grow your spirituality as well.

A short post on this beautiful Saturday morning! Please enjoy your weekend and I’ll be checking in with a longer post tomorrow.
