Having been in business for over a decade, I have heard the phrase ‘I can’t afford it’ dozens and dozens of times. I’ve even said those words myself on occasion. In hindsight, I can now see how a more appropriate phrase would be ‘how can I afford this’ because what I’ve found is that when opportunity comes knocking – you really can’t afford not to say YES.
Gratitude Tip: We are taught that there is a limited supply of money and that there isn’t enough to go around. Yet there are examples of abundance all around us. When we stop and focus on being grateful, it’s easy to notice how much abundance we are surrounded by. For those of us with kids, simply take a look around your children’s playroom for an example of abundance. It is our programming that stops us from say YES. Truth is, life is far too short to live anything but your BEST life – and that’s why you can’t afford not to action – right now.
Why we can’t afford NOT to take action:
- Our health depends on it. I wrote a blog post a few weeks ago about how #cancersucks and on my top ways to focus on prevention. Every day it’s up to us to choose prevention or disease. It’s truly that simple. We can no long afford not to make our health a priority.
- Our finances depend on it. The overwhelming majority of people in North America are living paycheck to paycheck and if they were to lose that paycheck, they wouldn’t be able to pay their mortgage payments because they have no savings. And since most people live this way, we believe that it’s normal. It’s not and unless we choose to take action, our financial situation will not stay the same – it will eventually get worse.
- Our freedom depends on it. We live in a free country, where capitalism reigns and we have the choice to express our free will. This freedom is an illusion for most. Most people are tied to a job, a mortgage, a crushing debt load and keeping up appearances. We follow ‘The Bucket List Family‘ on Instagram and think how great it is that THEY can do it. Yet we could all do this. Especially with a freedom vehicle like network marketing. Without action, there can be no freedom from the shackles of the traditional North American lifestyle.
- Our children’s future depends on it. We all know that what we are creating today will be the world we pass on to our children. What kind of a world do we want to leave for them? We can no longer afford to not take action when it comes to being more loving, kind and grateful human beings. This is the easier action step to take – and it’s the one most often overlooked as being too simple or ineffective. Trust me when I say that in order to change the world for our children, it start today, with you and I.
Make a choice today. Stop limiting your life and take action. Face your fears – what’s the worst that can happen? Start right now. Today. Don’t wait another moment to take action. Choose one of these action steps and DO IT. Because on the other side of inspired, directed and habitual action is everything you’ve ever dreamed of.
